Melissa Mrozek, MA, LMFT, LADC
“Starting therapy can be an intimidating process which requires taking a brave first step. I enjoy the ability to walk with my clients in their journey to achieving their version of healthy and better. My passion is empowering clients to establish their own goals and providing the support to achieve them.” Melissa Mrozek
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.” Brené Brown
Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has spent her career working with individuals, families and couples. She attended Argosy University where she obtained her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and completed Alcohol and Drug Counseling courses for licensure. Melissa has spent much of her career working in community mental health & substance use clinics, working with clients who struggle with trauma (PTSD), anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, family violence, and family systems. She also has experience working with gender identity issues, incarceration, intimacy issues, custody/co-parenting and more.
Melissa believes in helping individuals achieve their happiest, healthiest self and utilizes a strength-based approach to therapy services. She enjoys identifying the unique strengths in each client, building on them to challenge the negative patterns that contribute to how we see ourselves, the world, and how we believe others see us. She was inspired to work in the field because she believes in a person’s ability to be better and to heal. Melissa currently serves on the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Board and additionally volunteers in local community service efforts.
