Stephanie passed away surrounded by her family on August 23rd, 2023 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Stephanie joined Cedar Valley in 2016 and worked diligently with her clients as a licensed professional clinical counselor and registered play therapist. She was an integral part of our community here at Cedar Valley and passionate about Minnesota’s play therapy association. The impact she has made is unmeasurable. Anyone that has had the pleasure of knowing Stephanie can share in the sentiment that it was a pure blessing. Stephanie was full of light and love and her joy was contagious.  It was always apparent that she loved to live life to the fullest and her most favorite thing was spending time with her family.  Stephanie was passionate about her work and was a one-of-a-kind therapist. She was a mentor, leader, compassionate colleague, and a friend.  Her absence will leave a profound void in the play therapy community and the therapy community at large.
